John Berzansky, a native of Alverda, Pennsylvania, is a 1967 graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a B.B.A. in Accounting. Berzanky began his career with United States Steel Corporation in 1967 at Johnstown Works, leaving as the Supervisor of Accounts Payable and Stores.
Following his service obligation, he joined Homestead Works in 1970 as a Supervisor of Blast Accounting, transferring from the Division Analyst Structural and Central Maintenance position in 1976 to Canton Roll and Machine Works as Supervisor Analyst of the plant.
In 1980 Berzansky was transferred to Fairfield Works where he progressed through a variety of assignments within the Accounting Department, leaving as Staff Supervisor Analysis and Statistics in 1996 for assignment in U.S. Steel’s Pittsburgh headquarters as Manager – Financial Analysis, Raw Materials, Tubular, Plate and Tin Products.
Berzansky came to USS-POSCO Industries as Comptroller in 1998. He assumed the position of Director Financial Services in 1999.
Effective October 1, 2003, Berzansky was promoted to the position of Vice President - Administration & Finance, Treasurer, reporting to Robert Smith, President.
Berzansky and his wife Patty live in Clayton, CA. The Berzanskys have one grown daughter, Jennifer, currently residing in Chicago. |
